Capital Mining (ASX: CMY) has intersect optimistic indication of uranium and vanadium mineralisation from a first pass drilling plan at the Mundaerno South Uranium‐IOCGU project area in South Australia.

Anomalous uranium has been detected in a test of the most important target zone and high vanadium has been recorded in a powerfully ferruginous horizon. Elevated iron and copper include also been detected over magnetic anomalies. There were major spikes for uranium (to 153 parts per million (ppm) U3O8), vanadium (to 6122 ppm V2O5) and iron (to 32.7% Fe2O3) recorded.

Capital Mining said the drilling has provide valuable new information on the subject of the geology and prospectivity of the area, which puts go behind up exploration on a sound footing. The Mundaerno South project area is strategically situated in an established uranium bearing province and is in close proximity to a number of in service uranium and gold mines, former uranium mines and newly exposed uranium occurrences.
