
In a main announcement made by UK and the UAE, the two countries have freshly joined hands on the nuclear co-operation agreement yesterday. It is to be mention here that the signing of the agreement would lead to furthering its plan of cementing its own programme's legitimacy with the help of recognized nuclear powers. It may be recalled here that the Government had sign a note of understanding (MOU) with Japan and nuclear co operation deal with the US, South Korea and France in the earlier period of this year.
As per the announcement complete by the said Hamad al Kaabi, the UAE's permanent envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the country is at present in a situation wherein it is negotiating with other countries on an swap of nuclear expertise and resources. It may be renowned here that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his British counterpart, William Hague, signed the agreement at Emirates Palace yesterday during Queen Elizabeth II's visit. Al Kaabi said in a report that the agreement is more of an official version of the MoU signed by the companies in the year 2008 and it has currently allowed the two countries to split more formally a base of government and industry knowledge.
